In 2014 Dr. Martens returned to academia to pursue and complete an MBA degree in health care administration at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Understanding both the business and clinical aspects of health care allow Dr. Martens a unique perspective to both care for his patients and operate a busy and expanding practice.
Dr. Martens enjoys practicing medicine and is uniquely able to bond with his patients to positively affect their health outcomes. His patients and colleagues realize this and, as such, his patient referral base is largely “word of mouth”, referrals from patient’s families and friends, professional colleagues, and health insurance companies. He and his dedicated staff strive to offer the highest quality of health care possible.
